January
2000 - Canada. The new year started off with the opening
of a new dog club for a rare breed in Canada - The Polish Lowland
Sheepdog. Long time breeder and dog lover, Lynne
Zubrzycki initiated the start up of a new club for the Polski
Owczarek Nizinny (PON). The club's official name is Canadian
Polish Lowland Sheepdog Club (CPONC).
It is estimated that there
are less than 100 of this beautiful breed in our fair country from
coast to coast. But that number is estimated to increase
rapidly with the new announcement of the Canadian
Kennel Club (CKC) officially recognizing the PON into
miscellaneous class.
Membership
information can be obtained from this website.
Membership into CPONC entitles you to available information about
the breed, other owners and breeders in the country, and as the club grows and develops
we anticipate even more benefits. |
